I am having an issue where the printer will print, then the next item I will get a thermal runaway issue. I can reset and try again getting success most times... It is not how it used to run before the upgrade stuff back in June. Any tips?

Using Hatchbox and all that stuff. Just printing a simple tire for a small dragster. Using Cura 15.4.6 as I like the USB connection.

Can you please post the exact message you're getting here?

I will grab a shot of it next time I see it. I thought I had one, but I use so many phones to capture stuff I cannot find it now...

Successful on my 1st print of the day. Second had this. That is a different message than the temperature one... but I figured I would share as a clue. I reset the go and it is printing the item this time. Will keep an eye out for that temperature message though.

I've got a similar thing going on with my KS version. As yet I've not looked into the problem but I suspect the 5V power supply is sagging as the motors start.
The temp ramps up and then drops 10 to 15 degrees as the auto leveling starts. Some times it comes back up to temp in time, but mostly is takes too long to get there so it stops. Then if I cycle the power quickly before it gets a chance to cool, and look at the info screen, the temp is higher than the set point.
The thermistor wires are twisted now but that made no difference.
Are you having anything like this going on?
Also, your pictures didn't come through.

Your heater most likely has not been auto-tuned as per the instructions for the upgrade you had installed. Did you auto-tune the heater?

I ran it from the page in the upgrade?
Is something wonky with posting images right now? Mine will not show up like they always used to.
I am going to just add a link to it.

I hope you get to the bottom of your temp problems.

This seems like a physical connection issue possibly. Or your thermistor is not positioned well and shorting out.

How would we tell with it enclosed in the updated rig?

This morning I searched tune in the forums and found this post you had given me last year.
Make sure you autotune the heater once you set up the hotend.

M303 E0 S220 To auto tune the heater
    M500 To save the settings.

I sent that code and had 2 successful prints today, no fails. Fingers crossed I am good.
